Gloves I received are not USGI, they are made in Pakistan. The leather is very, very stiff and the gloves have a strong, unpleasant odor : I suspect it is a poor grade of leather and a crude tanning process. I will try saddle soap and mink oil to see if that improves them. These are definitely not the quality that I got from Uncle Sam back in the 80s.

I will try saddle soap and mink oil to see if that improves them. These are definitely not the quality that I got from Uncle Sam back in the 80s.

These gloves are supposed to fit over the wool liners. They don’t! The size 6 is supposed to be xtra large, it’s more like an extra small, like maybe a 3?. I’m returning them in the hopes that the only other size available, “7”, will fit.
