These are pretty close to the ones my had been issued in 1968. I bought them with the liners and when I got them they were very stiff and seemed too small. However, after wearing them for a while they broke in and I love them. They are very tough, I use them a lot to move around fire wood and they awesome. I would highly recommend, just keep wearing them until they break in and you won't be sorry.

Gloves I received are not USGI, they are made in Pakistan. The leather is very, very stiff and the gloves have a strong, unpleasant odor : I suspect it is a poor grade of leather and a crude tanning process. I will try saddle soap and mink oil to see if that improves them. These are definitely not the quality that I got from Uncle Sam back in the 80s.
