    This what I was looking for. The cleaning rod is steel and can withstand the force necessary to properly push the brush and patches through the barrel.

    I was looking at some other cleaning kits by Real Avid, then I thought, "If it's good enough for the military it's good enough for me." $10 cheaper than the one I was originally looking at and apart from the case is exactly like the other one. Works great.
