Having a reliable firestarter is always crucial when you are spending time in the outdoors. These are great to have around in camp if the weather gets wet or on a hike or hunt if you get stranded. The waterproof matches have waterproof heads and wooden splints. There is a waterproof striker on the box. These are the 'small' wood matches, the boxes are about 2" long and each box will have approximately 50 matches in it for a total of 200 matches.

    I put a box out in the pouring rain for several hours. The box didn't far well and the striker peeled off when I tried to strike a match. But the matches lite up when I rubbed it across a rough surface. Ie a brick or rock both was wet but the match still lite
