    I've been using one of these for 30 years. Have one in my go bag. It's the only can opener my daughter's ever saw in the house. Takes a very long time to wear one out!

    Issued to me in the Army 1985 and still use it today. Dad got his in Vietnam and we used it as kids; not sure where his ended up

    P38 The Army's greatest invention. I definitely agree with that. I've had P38's on key rings since I was 9 years old. I've used them as flat screwdrivers, used it to pry open paint cans, opened quite a few cans of raviolli and meatball spagetti with them, and many other uses. The handiest thing on my key ring. I don't leave home without it.
