The Kosovo Campaign Medal is a decoration presented by the United States Armed Forces to individuals who served in Kosovo between March 24, 1999 to December 31, 2013. To be eligible, members must have served at least 30 consecutive days or 60 cumulative days in support of one of the following: Operation Allied Force, Operation Allied Harbor, Operation Shining Hope, Operation Noble Anvil, Operation Joint Guardian, Task Force Hawk, Task Force Saber, Task Force Falcon or Task Force Hunter. All of these operations and task forces fit under the broader categories of either the Kosovo Air Campaign (March 24, 1999 - June 10, 1999) or the Kosovo Defense Campaign (June, 11 1999 to December 31, 2013). One Service Star is awarded with every Kosovo Campaign Medal and two service stars may be awarded to service members who have performed in both the Air Campaign and the Defense Campaign on two separate tours of duty.
