Taste of the mains was okay. All other components were the same for each MRE, so no variety there. None of the heaters worked.

Excellent MRE’s I’ve had several already. These are just like they have been made for the last 30 years plus. A good quick meal they are in a clear sealed bag with a bread/cracker,jelly, tootsie roll , pop tart , salt, spoon and of course the main meal. The heater that is included must be the newer ones and I haven’t had one work yet but just throw the pack in some boiling water or in the sun for an hour or so and it’s plenty warm. Didn’t buy these for the heaters I bought them for the meals and these are the prices I was getting 10 years ago and the dates on mine were mid/late 2020. Great value for great emergency food.
Very good quality food was tasty.. Heaters have failed. But unlike the other review I did t use a microwave becasue it has aluminum foil inside and it sparks so I just bolied hot water.
The MRE's were good. Unfortunately, many of the heaters failed to work. Thankfully, I had a microwave oven to heat them.
