Don't believe you're getting an M-65 with metal zipper AS IS CLEARLY SHOWN ON THE PRODUCT PAGE. This is a Propper M-65 with nylon zipper.
The jacket needs to be offered in a small short version. As it is the jacket is long in the sleeves and body. Also the jacket without the lining is not guite as heavy as the military issue, which I have two (OD green and cammy ) (I'm retired Army) The jacket as is appears to be a good buy but it would be better with a better fit..
This field jacket is everything I was looking for. Full stand-up collar, hood, shoulder epaulets, big burly brass zippers, a zip-out quilted liner, and waist drawstring. Tough, black, outer canvas-like exterior. Win-win!
I've owned this jacket for 4 years. Bought my oldest son the same one 2 years ago and now ordering one for my teenage son. Had to get their own when they started borrowing mine. Very warm even on the coldest days and light enough in Spring and Fall when you button out the lining. Everything about this jacket is great. You won't find a better value and anywhere.
