Once used extensively by the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, the Air Force 499 Survival Knife is the standard against which other survival knives are measured. It is made of carbon steel with a dull, rust resistant "Parkerized" finish. This finish also prevents glare. A leather handle with deep grooves provides a good grip surface even when your hand is slippery. There is a sharpening stone and leg tie as well. This knife is not a reproduction. It is Made in the USA.

  • -5" 1095 carbon steel blade with zinc phosphate finish and sawback.

    Bought to replace lost survival knife from RVN. Thought it was no longer mfgd. Happy with product and with the delivery.
