Not a bad jacket except for the sleeves. There is no real adjustment with Velcro fasteners and the sleeves are not tight enough. I modified the jacket I bought with buttons from my old jacket which had buttons on the sleeves. I've never been a big fan of Velcro.
I was looking for a good, general purpose jacket and was jonesing for my old issue field jacket so I ordered this one. As another poster said, close but not quite. First, I was surprised it included a liner, that was not in the description or picture so I ordered one separately, now I have 2 liners. This jacket is made in China, has a similar tag to an issue jacket but no national stock number. Liner is the same. Liner is perfect, no issues there. the shell of the jacket is right, pretty much exact to the ones I was issued but there is no inner lining to the jacket itself. I found one of my much smaller sized issue jackets and there is the outer shell and and inner lining and the hidden hood can be accessed to smooth out between the two by going up between the shell and inner lining. I had felt something was different but couldn't put my finger on it until I tried to smooth out the hood and that's when I noticed the lack of the inner layer. All in all though, the shell is correct, removable liner does it's job and it kept me warm at 0-10 degrees fahrenheit on my rural mail route. If you are looking for exact, this is not it. If you are looking for a good general purpose jacket, this one will do great.
Made pretty well for a Chinese knock-off. Very similar to the mil-spec one I had when I was younger and out-grew. Only thing is…mine did not come with the liner. I came here looking for a liner now that it is cold, and I found out it was supposed to come with it! Now it has been too long to do anything, lost out on $30. Still, the coat itself is nice.
Same as I was issued at Ft Dix in March 1968 for basic training. Perfect for weather and sand pit at that time. The second one is Xmas gift for son. Had my Nam unit patch put on left shoulder and both his grandfather llWW patch ( Jap & German war ) on right shoulder
Awesome jacket. Got one in college (37 years ago) at a flea market and lived in it. This is so much nicer (well, it's new and has a liner, so... yeah). Have a 51" chest and got a 2X and it's perfect. A millennial co-worker even said my jacket was "legit" (lol). Searched many sites for a coat like this and settled on this one, glad I did.
It's close but not quite up to specs. I was hoping for it to be to spec as advertised as a replacement for the one I lost from what I had left of my father. As one who owned an original; and could comfortably wear what my dad wore; I'm a little disappointed in it. It's almost an exact match... but huge. It would probably swamp my dad through sheer size. All in all it's close.. but not quite the original M65 field. And being made in China is just...well.. not what I was hoping for. But all in all? It's not the worst disappointment in my life. The material is very close to the original. So much so that I may not be able to tell the difference between this and a large original M65 (I ordered a medium. Definitely feels XL) if it weren't for the strange names on the tags. (Propper?) So I've seen worse; and the material is almost perfect.. just disappointed in the specs. The arms themselves are also strangely long and the shoulders a bit too wide. Still.... a close 2nd to the real thing but you'll know the difference if you've ever owned an original.

This jacket is great the quality is wonderful. Has lots of room. The liner is of a good quality with good insulation. Perfect for the winter.
