Build and complete your awards rack with this mini military medal. First created in 1982, the Multinational Force and Observers Medal is an international military decoration authorized by the Director General of Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) to recognize military members that participated in the MFO in support of the ceasefire zone between Egypt and Israel after the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Multinational Force and Observers Medal eligibility is as follows: service members must have completed at least 170 cumulative days (6 months) of MFO service between April 1982 and now. Military insignia may also be awarded posthumously or if a member has been medically repatriated due to illness or injury.
Like the full-size version, the mini military medal features a bronze medallion with the MFO emblem: a dove and olive branch, which both symbolize peace. The medal’s ribbon is MFO orange with a white stripe in the middle and two dark green stripes on either side.
