The Expert Marksmanship Device or "E Device" is a silver letter "E" and should be distinguished from the "Battle E Device". It is worn on the Marksmanship Ribbon in place of the full sized Marksmanship Medal. The Silver Marksmanship E Device is not worn on the medals, but rather is a ribbon only device.
