The Kuwait Liberation of Kuwait Medal is a decoration presented by the Kuwait government to individuals who served in the Liberation of Kuwait Campaign. Although awarded in five classes, the United States only accepted the award in the fifth class. To be eligible, members must have served in Operation Desert Shield or Operation Desert Storm on regular duty and participated in either ground operations, naval vessel operations or as a crew member in aerial flight operations between the dates of August 2, 1990 - August 31, 1993. Those serving temporary duty must have served at least 30 consecutive days or 60 nonconsecutive days unless they participated in an active combat operation.
